The creators of Cities: Skylines 2 have re-released the Beach Properties expansion, making it free of charge

Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order have re-released an update for Cities: Skylines 2 that includes content from the previously withdrawn Beach Properties add-on. That add-on was withdrawn from sale due to poor reviews, but it is now available to all users.

The new patch also improved the game's overall performance and added support for DLSS upscaler technology.

In addition, Colossal Order has announced that the next update will also prove to be significant, with a deep rework of the in-game economy planned based on player feedback. The new patch is expected to be released in about a month.

After criticizing the quality of the game and the Beach Properties add-on, the developers apologized to their audience and announced a refund for the DLC. Ultimate Edition owners will be compensated with three Creator Packs and three radios for a total of $39.99.
