Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will no longer receive weekly updates

With the conclusion of Season 1, Rocksteady Studios has announced that it is discontinuing weekly updates from developers (blogs discussing current issues and upcoming changes) and will only move to publishing updates when there is significant news about future content.

The developers hope that this approach will make “the release of each new update an exciting event, informing players of all significant developments related to the game!”. While some see this as logical - there's no point in releasing an update with no news or significant changes - others see it as the first step in reducing support for the game.

The number of concurrent players on Steam peaked at 519 in the last 24 hours (according to SteamDB), which is very low for a project with such a huge budget. The last time the game crossed the 1,000 player mark was during the launch of Joker Season. After that, the number of players dropped sharply due to fan complaints about the lack of content, repetitive missions, significant grind to unlock the Joker (who can also be purchased for real money) and other problems.
