The Star Wars strategy is still in development

Studio Bit Reactor is still working on a new Star Wars strategy game, despite the recent cancelation of a shooter based on the same franchise.

The cancellation came at the behest of publisher EA, which is pursuing a cost-cutting strategy. It was recently revealed that the company has laid off nearly seven hundred employees from various internal companies. Respawn Studios was not spared from the cuts, and it was there that they were working on a Star Wars shooter inspired by the Mandalorean series.

However, Bit Reactor has reassured fans by noting that it has been bypassed by the cuts. This means that the developers still plan to release their strategy game before the end of 2024 (or later).
