Star Citizen updated to version 3.23

A major new Star Citizen alpha update, Alpha 3.23, was recently released and includes numerous new features including wild animals to encounter or avoid, spacious industrial zones, a completely redesigned character editor, performance features, artificial intelligence improvements and other enhancements.

In the new version, players can encounter wildlife on inhabited planets for the first time, meeting animals such as Copion hounds and Marok birds. Marok birds avoid contact with players and disperse when approached, while the pack-like Kopion hounds can be dangerous.

Cloud Imperium Games has also updated the Star Citizen engine (StarEngine) with new cloud and water modeling techniques that react to ships and other physical objects. Advanced image enhancement technologies from Nvidia and AMD - DLSS and FSR - are also present in the update to help improve performance.
