Sony has prepped a PC port of The Last of Us 2 as early as November 2023

Sony has a port of The Last of Us 2 ready for PC, claims dataminer billbil-kun. According to him, the porting of the game started no later than 2021 and will be completed by November 2023.

Billbil-kun doesn't know why Sony is in no hurry to release The Last of Us 2 on PC. Perhaps, he speculates, the company plans to time the release to coincide with the premiere of the second season of The Last of Us series.

If the dataminer is right, players will have to wait for a long time. Filming on the second season of the series is not yet complete, and it won't premiere until 2025 - likely closer to the middle of the year.

There was no official announcement of the PC version of The Last of Us 2. Fans expected it to be shown after the release of an improved version of the game for PlayStation 5 in early 2024, but that didn't happen.
