Details have emerged about where Resident Evil 9's plot will unfold

Dusk Golem insider shared information about the location of the next Resident Evil game. According to his information, the plot of Survival Horror will unfold in a small town on an island located in the seas of Southeast Asia.

The blogger specified that Capcom found inspiration in Singapore when developing the game zone. Dusk Golem also mentioned that the ninth part of Resident Evil is expected to feature a full open world, and the game is scheduled for release in early 2025.

There is a possibility that the new Resident Evil installment will be unveiled at the PlayStation launch event in May, which is already generating a lot of discussion. The latest installment in the series, Village, was released in the spring of 2021.

In February, Dusk Golem reported that Capcom has given the go-ahead for several Resident Evil remakes, among which will be a new version of Resident Evil 5.
