Open testing of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has been canceled

Saber Interactive has canceled a planned beta test for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, choosing to focus on preparing for a full launch.

Registration for the Space Marine 2 beta test opened in August 2023, but plans changed due to the release being pushed back from winter 2023 to the second half of 2024. A new release date was announced in December 2023, and players were once again encouraged to sign up for co-op mode testing. Unfortunately, the testing never took place.

Space Marine 2 is almost ready for launch. The team is now fully focused on optimizing, polishing, and fixing remaining issues before the September 9 release. For this reason, it was decided not to hold an open online beta so as not to distract developers from preparing for a full launch and to ensure the best possible experience at release.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 releases on September 9 on PC and consoles.
