The recent Diablo 4 patch has made crafting cheaper late in the game

You have defeated all the bosses, exterminated all the demons, found all the treasures and finally got the weapon of your dreams. Now it's time to upgrade it, but you don't have enough gold. This is a common problem in Diablo 4 because of the new masterwork system. However, a recent patch has made it much cheaper to upgrade.

In Diablo 4, mastercrafting is a crafting option in the final stage of the game that allows you to gradually improve your gear at different levels. Each level requires more and more gold and resources, with gold being particularly scarce as it was required in huge quantities at high levels. The new patch has significantly reduced the gold requirements starting at level five. For example, level five now costs 400,000 gold instead of 450,000, and level twelve costs 2,500,000 gold instead of 10,000,000. This is a significant price reduction, and Blizzard explained that the changes are aimed at getting players to focus on resource gathering rather than hoarding gold.

The game's interface has also been improved. Characterization comparisons have been made clearer and more user-friendly for players.
