EA has promised that Battlefield 2025 will be an "amazing service game"

While discussing the quarterly report with investors, EA CEO Andrew Wilson shared details of Battlefield 2025 development. He mentioned that the game is already in a playable state and the largest team in the history of the series is working on its creation.

Wilson also mentioned that he recently got to experience the latest version of the game with the developers and he was impressed with what he saw. According to him, the team is developing an impressive game service.

Studios DICE, Criterion Games, Ripple Effect, EA Motive and EA Gothenburg are working on the new installment of Battlefield. They are developing a unified Battlefield universe that includes both a single player campaign and multiplayer. There are also rumors of Battle Royale development.

According to press reports, the new Battlefield is scheduled for release in October 2025. The game is expected to return to the classic format with 64 players, class system and advanced destructibility, after experimenting in 2042.
