Dragon's Dogma 2 was the best-selling game in the U.S. in March

Dragon's Dogma 2 became the top-selling game in the U.S. gaming market in March 2024, according to a report by analytics company Circana. Helldivers 2, which held the first place in February, moved to the second position.

However, Helldivers 2 continues to be the best-selling game in the U.S. for all of 2024. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 retains the second spot, while Dragon's Dogma 2 is now in third place.

In March, Americans spent $4.886 billion on games, up 4% from last year. Sales of games and accessories were up 9%, while console sales fell 32%.

For the first quarter of 2024, the drop in console sales was significant, with revenues down 24%. PlayStation 5 continues to lead console sales in terms of revenue, with the Xbox Series in second place and Nintendo Switch leading in terms of units sold.
