Обратная связьA new competitive mode will soon appear in Tanks! "Onslaught" is an exciting 7×7 battles on X level vehicles with equal ranked players. The first season, "Gryphon Season," will take place from October 12, 11:00 a.m. (MSK), to November 20, 8:00 p.m. (MSK).
A number of new game mechanics have been introduced for "Onslaught," including role-playing skills, a prestige point system and more. Let's take a closer look at the features of the event.
* Please note: you can take part in the "Onslaught" mode now, as part of the General Test update 1.18.1. Some features of the game mode are not final and may be adjusted before the official release.
After selecting the Onslaught mode, you will be taken to the Pre-Combat Preparation screen. This is your opportunity to replace the selected X level vehicle, its equipment and armament, and to coordinate a plan of action with your team before the countdown ends.
Please note: the vehicle you are replacing must be repaired, crewed, and equipped with ammunition before combat begins.
The Fog of War mechanic hides the composition of the enemy team at the start of combat. Until a vehicle is detected, you know nothing about the composition, types, models, and location of the opposing forces.
** Earn prestige points in "Onslaught" mode to improve your ranking position as well as to increase your role skill charge.
You earn prestige points by completing the following actions in combat:
Each of the 15 combat roles is characterized by a unique role skill, which can tip the scales in your favor. For example, heavy assault tanks have the "Field Repair Zone" skill. It creates an area around the tank, which restores strength points to you and allied vehicles. Medium assault tanks can use the "Fury" skill, which reduces the gun reload time by a few seconds. Press the 7 key (by default) to activate the skill.
The special skill has three charge levels. The higher the charge level, the more powerful the effect of the skill.

Although the battles of the Onslaught will unfold on familiar battlefields, such as Himmelsdorf and Ensk, they have been fine-tuned specifically for the new mode. All of the maps are familiar to you from Random Battles, so some shelters, passageways, buildings, and other objects have been changed. This will add to the competition.
In addition, key positions have been placed on the battlefields. These points must be captured in order to apply the appropriate tactical skills. Unlike role skills, which are unique to each vehicle class, tactical skills are the same for each battle and can be activated by any player in the team.
Each "Onslaught" map has two to four key positions and, accordingly, two tactical skills are available. Capturing a key position is similar to capturing a base, but restrictions apply, such as a certain capture time and others.
Successful capture of the Artillery HQ will allow you to use the tactical skill "Artillery blow". After 3 seconds an artillery strike will be launched at the player's chosen area. Affected targets take 500 damage and are stunned for 20 seconds. Allies in the affected area will be stunned without damage. Press the 8 key (default) to apply the skill and select the area of impact.
Successfully capturing a Communications Hub allows the tactical skill "Request Intelligence" to be applied. When activated, all enemy vehicles will remain detected for 3 seconds. Press 9 (by default) to apply the skill.
Unlike Random Battles, the Onslaught mode is only available for 7×7 battles on X level vehicles. Five of the nine game maps have been updated to balance the battles.
Reworked some of the buildings, added buildings, changed some shelters. Railroad track section on the west side of the map got additional freight cars. Reworked fountain area (F5) from the point of view of positions efficiency.
Railroad track area in eastern part of the map was redesigned. Some buildings and freight cars have been demolished to open up additional passageways. Additional objects have been placed that can be used as shelters.
Destructible buildings have been added to the center of the map. More vegetation has been added to provide shelter for the Artillery HQ at this position.
The Rocky Slope (NW) has been redesigned to open up additional access to the base takeover area.
An additional facility has been added to the central zone (E4/F4) to provide cover and create a point of encounter around the Artillery HQ.
