The first Call of Duty 2026 and 2027 rumors have leaked online

While Call of Duty projects for this year and next year have yet to be announced, information has already surfaced about more distant releases. Insider Tom Henderson reported that Call of Duty 2025 will be a semi-futuristic sequel to Black Ops 2.

At the same time, another prominent source, VISCERAL, wrote in X that the 2026 game being developed by Infinity Ward, codenamed Project Devilwood, will be a new installment in the Ghosts sub-series. He also added that Call of Duty 2027, known as Project Anvil, will be a sequel to Advanced Warfare from Sledgehammer Games.

So far there is no official confirmation of this information, so treat it with some caution. Recall that since 2015, the Call of Duty series has moved to a three-year development cycle, where studios Infinity Ward, Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games alternately create new parts.
